19th Annual Marble Falls Main Street Car Show
Wow! The 19th Annual Marble Falls Main Street Car Show was our best ever. A total of 205 cars lined both sides of Main Street from the library all the way north to the First United Bank parking lot. The 205 cars this year totally surpassed last year's total of 129 registrants.

The crowd of more than two thousand people wandering up and down Main Street saw an amazing variety of cars and trucks and were treated to a mini-concert by ZZ Top tribute band as well as continuous recorded music throughout the event.

Thanks go again to Kiwanian Jim Hower and the Kiwanis volunteers for organizing this year's show and scheduling a wonderful warm sunny day. There are numerous car clubs in the Highland Lakes area and this year's Covid pandemic has kept many of them from having their spring and summer car show. The Marble Falls show was the one to attend and the number of cars and the large crowd was the result.
Best in Show
Voting for the Best in Show was done by the participants themselves. The winner of the Best of Show award was Mark Abrahams from the Hills of Lakeway with his 1955 Mercury Montclaire. His turquoise convertible looked emaculate. No one would have guessed that this car was totaled in an accident just a year ago. Congratulations to Mark for an incredible job of restoration. |
